As a 29-year-old who has played online games incessantly and competitively since I was old enough to do so, this trend has been obvious for years now and is only beginning to gain proper acknowledgement in the wider world. There's a stereotype amongst many people my age and above that video games are a pointless waste of time, but some highly competitive games like Fortnite, DOTA, League of Legends or WoW require a very high level of skill
I agree with this statement as to play a game competitively you haave to be in the top 1% of people who play that game and if it is a popular game that would be incredibly difficult to accomplish.
I'm old enough to remember 'Space Invaders' being the only video game in the local fish 'n chip shop. I was pretty bad but some of the kids were deadly with their reflexes.
So music or video games then?
It's always music first for myself.

I disagree with this comment as it seems rather irrational to completely give it up as they are bad at one game but the article title doesnt mention giving up one or the other
