They had personal relationships as they might of heard their favourite band on the radio, they may also get this because they were familiar with Tony Blackburn frtom Radio caroline

The preffered readsing is that teenagers would love the host and the music played and would pick it over pirate stations
The oppositional reading is that the target audience would find it boring and its just old people trying to be young again.
