They appeal as the story is about how a loved institutuion was done wrong by a large company and was blamed for that companies mistake

Because it provides surveillence into what goes on in the world everyday all around

Because they havent accepted the shift towards a more technology sided world

The Daily Mirror is owned by Reach plc (formerly Trinity Mirror), which is the UK's largest commercial news publisher, also owning the Daily ExpressDaily StarSunday Mirror, and over 100 regional titles. 
Despite being a market leader, Reach plc has been struggling due to a combination of industry-wide headwinds and structural issues, leading to significant job cuts, including plans in 2025 to cut over 300 jobs.

It was allison philips who exposed partygate which was the tory government having a party under lockdown

It used to sell upwards of 4 million however it has now gone down to around 600k

It has created a free app and moved most news to social media
